Fleury was born in Sudbury, Ontario. She won three Northern Ontario Bantam titles and competed in the 2002 Ontario Curling Trials for the 2003 Canada Winter Games. She also won three consecutive Northern Ontario junior provincial championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007. In 2005, Fleury actually did not skip the Northern Ontario team, but threw fourth stones.
