WebYeah the merchants can and will often die in later levels. Basically if you are in the same map call as them, they are active and so are any enemies in that cell. So they will end up fighting with enemies and at later levels can often die. They aren’t scripted to die at any point or level. But it just can happen ‘naturally’.
