Would it make a difference over time if … WebUnless you increase valve volume and pressure the 14" will be fine. You'll see some gains with an 18" but it won't be a huge difference. On a .177 it would be more noticeable. On my pumpers I usually use a 12" so I can mount shrouds. My 1377 has seen almost 20 fpe without a long barrel.

The gun is in excellent condition only does not hold air pressure for more than a few seconds. I have disassembled the valve and am pretty sure the problem is the leather seal inside of the valve.
